Hi everyone

I am filling the form to renew pr card, but I don’t remember exactly the day that I started working and stopped working. I changed my working place many times And just remmember which month not exactly the day.

If I put the wrong day of my working history in the form, will it be a trouble? Will they check the time of working history exactly

thanks for any help

They are more interested in your residence days obligation rather than investigating when you started working for an employer and/or when you started living in an address.
Dont worry too much as they dont have record and approximate date should be ok. Many of us enter outside of the country employment and addresses. How can cic know about it. Also many of us say that we are unemployed for period within Canada which they cant really verify if we were working at that time or not. But give details as accurate as possible which is enough for us and them.

They can get the info from your taxes information....when you fill in the form, you have to give IRCC consent to get your tax info. from CRA...
Try to login to CRA and check your tax returns or T4s...i believe the employment dates will be appear there (assuming you used all the T4s from all of your previous employers)...
I would also suggest getting the exact dates before submitting the application...try to email your previous employers...i am pretty sure they can provide you with an employment letter easily...

Your Work and Education History: You must list all your work and education history inside and outside Canada for the past five (5) years or since becoming a permanent resident if less than five (5) years ago.

You must account for each month during this time:

  • If you were retired, unemployed, or a homemaker for any part of this time, provide that information, including the location.
  • If you were self-employed, you must provide details of your self-employment.
Use another page if you need more space to list this information.

Stating “not applicable” (or “N/A”), or leaving a question blank may result in your application being returned as incomplete.
