Renew passport before visa issuing

Hi,

Recently I received medical requests in addition to RPRF and updated copies of passport biopage.

My passport expires after 7 months, and renewing passport could take some extra time as I reside outside my home country.

So I want to submit my current passport to visa office now, meanwhile I will renew my passport so that when the visa office request passport for visa issuing I submit the new passport.

I would like to point out that If renew my passport, then the new passport will have new number.

Is this okay?

For the medicals go with the old passport. Immediately after that apply for a new one. I'm not aware of other countries but India allows you to issue a new passport within one year of expiry date. For the PP request you can send the new one only. I've done this for my daughter and wife a couple of months ago.
