renew passport before applying inland sponsorship toronto

a quick question hoping may tumulong.
My passport will expire soon and i wish to renew it. to renew passport it requires valid permits,my work permit is expired and I'm not working right now. My Canadian husband will sponsor me under inland spousal sponsorship after getting my new passport.
panu ako makakapag renew ng passport if my papers are expired. in short I'm out of status. Hope to hear answer from you guys. Thanks!

You should also confirm what country's passport you hold. (I assume Philippines?) You'll also need to include more details (like how long you have been out of status and when your passport expires). As of now you've provided too little information for anyone to be of any real assistance.
