Removing Conjugal partner from PR application

Hi..

I am protected person in Canada since March 2014, and I have applied for my PR application on the 2nd of May, and it is in process now, I have added my boyfriend "he doesn't live in Canada" to my application as "Conjugal partner" and I have submitted all the needed papers that prove we are in relationship, however, couple months ago we split, , and right now I don't know what to do:
1- should I wait and see and hope he won't get approval? and then everything will be dropped automatically.
2- or should I remove his name from the application? and I tried to find a way of removing someone from PR application, I couldn't find anything instructions about that?
3- Will removing him affect my PR application? in terms of approval and process time, because I have been waiting for more than a year now and the CIC is already close to open my application, they are processing the applications that were received on the 19th of April now.
4- Will my PR application be rejected if he was in it?

You have no choice. You must contact CIC (use a case specific enquiry, for example) and remove him from the application. Failure to do so will put your PR application at risk and may lead to you being investigated for misrepresentation.
