I've been working remotely for few years and been traveling as well. It is hard to define exactly the activity took place. Some of them have been done in different locations. Should I break them all into periods?
How does the office see the fact of being working in Canada remotely, but of course not being paid in Canada?

First of all CIC is more interested in matching Main duties and full time hours worked.

As per my understanding it doesn't make sense to break into periods as you worked the same job but only in different sites for short periods involving traveling within Canada.

Also you may have been issued a fixed office address related to your designation in Canada. but your work involved traveling at different sites. So you can use that office address for the whole period.

1.If not then I guess you have to break them into different periods.
2. It doesn't matter if you were not paid in CAD as long as the job is genuine.

But when in doubt its better to provide true information. For both 1 & 2 you can provide all genuine information in your EE profile and provide the same in the Letter of Explanation which you can provide to CIC.

Lastly wait for more replies for further clarification.

Hi,
I have also held a remote job for the last five years. For my reference letter, I just noted that the job was based in India (which is where the organization I work for is based), but that my duties were performed remotely.
Hope this helps!
