hi we received a letter from our consultant stating that we need to have our medical examination again. we are done with our medical examination last August 2 2013 however my sister have undergone a ptb treatment last year and it ended on april. According to our emedical form the accredited panelist pass my sisters medical exam last may of 2014 while they passed by medical exam last august of 2013..how would we know the validity of our medical exam? i mean i know that the embassy gives a one year validity of our medical exam so when will be the expiry of our medical exam? and we ask our last years panel physician about my sisters condition and she told me that if the embassy would ask for a remedical she needs to undergo another set of sputum test! Is it really true? please advise! :'(

Some infections diseases are reason to prevent an application to move forward, therefore, if the consulate says that you need to undergo another medical then you should do it as soon as possible. Your medical has almost expire as the validity date is only one year since you took it.
It is of your best interest to do it as soon as possible, and also it is of your best interest to follow the doctor treatment for any condition that is detected. For example Ptb treatment need to be completed and new test need to show that the condition has been resolved.

So, go for the exams and hopefully the condition has been resolved by now.

Hi. I undergo medical exam with IOM last July 9, 2014. My x-ray shows I have a mild enlargement of the heart. But actually, prior to my medical exam, 5 days before that, I asked my pulmonologist if I can have my x-ray just to make sure it will only show scars because I had PTB before. My x-ray in medical city shows old scar due to PTB and no findings with my heart.

So definitely, they asked me to have a sputum test, wherein my sputum smear were all negative and now still waiting for the result of sputum culture.

But, I got worried when I asked a copy of my medical exam stating that I have an enlargement of the heart. So to make sure of it, I ask our family doctor for a 2D echo. God is good, I have a normal heart.

Now I am confused what will happen since they will not honor the 2D Echo performed outside the health provider of immigration, right? Do I still need to show it to them? Why they did not ask me to undergo 2D Echo after my xray with them?

Hope you can enlighten me. Thank you.
