I am also in China. I can ask my wife, but I can tell you it's probably not worth shipping stuff, as the price to buy new stuff will be about the same...plus I have heard it's a hassle because you have to claim all your stuff at customs...

It's not a hassle. You have to clear your stuff at customs anyways ... Depends on what stuff, some are cheaper in China than Canada.

I disagree. Why do you say that there is no guarantee of the quality? Besides China is a huge market and you can find lots of suppliers of household products, whereas Canada is a rather tiny market and products to choose are limited. But, you can't bring everything to Canada from China ;D
