If you may have read my previous posts before, I am applying through the conjugal category with my same-gender partner. I have a multiple entry-visa to Canada so obviously we cannot use immigration barrier as a reason why we cannot get not married. The main reason why we do not intend to marry is due to cultural and religious reasons... we're both born Roman Catholics with strong cultural and religious views who grew up with the church teaching that marriage is instituted by God for the union of man and a woman, (no offense meant guys for those who believe otherwise). We do not want to touch marriage when we have the option of having common-law status in Canada.
