Yes. It is very much relevant. Just keep that in mind, while writing an explanation letter to the visa officer you mention the following things:
1. why you have chosen this particular course (because India has no specialized courses in this area)
2. How will it benefit you in your career prospects.
3. How will it help you when you will be returning to India.
