Hello,

I have a relative in Canada who is my spouse's uncle (father's brother). He is a canadian citizen but his canadian passport does not have his father's name on it through which i could show my relationship with him (my father-in-law and he have same father and my wife's passport will have her father's name on it).

Given the situation how do i prove my relationship with him?

Thanks,

You don't use passports to prove relationships, you will need your wife's birth certificate , her father's birth certificate and his brother's birth certificate showing the same father/mother.

Last alternative is showing SSC BOOKLET of uncle / father/ . Grand father name will be there to prove both are siblings.

Hi Guys,

I see in the profile for PR there is a place where they ask if the main applicant has a relative in Canada, but where do I tell them that my spouse has a relative in Canada ?
