Hi all,

We are currently gathering relationship support letters from our friends and family members (parents from both sides as well as our sisters, cousins etc.)

We are applying outland (both of us outside Canada) and therefore we also need to prove intentions to reside in Canada once PR is successful. So my question is the following:

In our relationship support letters, can our family/friends also write one paragraph about how they know we intend to move to Canada and that we have planned it and discussed it with them for a while now?

We have lots of other proof (housing research, severing ties in current country, letters from our employers that know we are going to resign, job research - even though nobody wants to hire somebody who cannot provide dates - , research on health insurance, shipping and all the rest).

The proof of intent is really nerve-wracking so I thought if our friends and family can also state in their letters that they know about our plans, it could not hurt? The letters will then basically serve as relationship proof and proof of intent.

Thanks in advance :)

There really is no guide for those letters.

If I were you I would definitely ask a few of them to mention the intent in their letters. It can only go "for" your application, certainly not against.
