Rejection due to wrong Visa Office Name

Hi All,,

I applied for Skilled Immigration from Pakistan in April based on old laws. Yesterday i got the big News.... my application was returned by CIC pertaining that i have not completely filled my application form. They have not deducted any money and neither they have kept any record on my application. and in case i want to apply again, i have to go through new rules for immigration.

What mistake i did was that i wrote Pakistan in visa office form instead of Islamabad,Pakistan (i guess) and they have highlighted this field.

Now that my NOC category has changed and i am unable to file for immigration.... I am totally shattered and confused.... Was writing Pakistan Only is big enough a mistake to reject an application , for normal circumstances it might not be a deal and now that i am unable to apply due to cap and change in NOC.... I donot know what to do....(((((


Is there any way to appeal on this... can i do anything to get this corrected..... Help me out if anyone has any info.... and for all potential immgrants,, please fill out carefully and review your forms trillian a times...

Hi,

Sorry to hear about this Numir but these days CIC is refusing applications with just little mistakes just because of the new list. There was one applicant who did not paid the fee for his spouse and she got refused as well and no second chance give. Unfortunately you cant appeal for this. You will have to find some other way to migrate to Canada.

So do we just write the the Visa office name and not the country. My region has the new delhi CHC as the visa office. So, should i just fill in 'New Delhi' or 'New Delhi, India'. Please help.

Write New Delhi, they know from your application that you are indian citizen so write New Delhi unless you are living in other country and wants to apply in other visa office.

Write New Delhi even if you write New Delhi, India that will be fine but just dont write India only.

WOW!! Are they getting this strict!? That's ridiculous...We might make mistakes...and something as little as this shouldnot be reasons for rejection.So, is it that if they don't find a document sufficient enough in my application (say something is just a photocopy and is not notarized), they might reject my application??

We all need to be extra careful now. Lucky are the ones who applied prior to June 26th.

Well since 01/04/2010 All Economic class applicants were processed in London, so Isbad was not a viable option for Visa office.

i have also mentioned islamabad, Pakistan in my application which reached on 23th Jun 2010. What will happen to me?

April applicants are receiving AOR. It is requested to Pakistani applicants who received 1st AOR that what country and city they mentioned as it is being said that from 01-Apr-10 London must be choosed instead of Islamabad Pakistan.
