Technically you could have PR then Citizenship for 20 years and still get rejected, IF they find any evidence of misrepresentation on your PR application. Realistically though at this stage you are 99% safe. Just don't show up at the border with 20 family members you didn't declare in your application.xpressentry said:I don't think so. PPR usually means they are asking for your passport to give you COPR
You go back to your other country of citizenship. I'm not sure what happens if you renounce your previous citizenship. Maybe prison?iAgree said:what do you mean rejection after citizenship ? then what happens?
Not sure. Prison for fraud may be.iAgree said:what if you have renounced your previous citizenship ?
You can ask for your original citizenship to be restored.iAgree said:what if you have renounced your previous citizenship ?

I received a passport request from Cairo visa office. And 3 weeks after submitting my passport, I received a call from them and the representative told me that there is additional background check to be done because I stayed in the US for longer than 6 months. They asked me whether I want my passport back or I want to keep it with them until the processing is done. They said that the processing will take up to 3 months. I told them to keep the passport.
I should note that Cairo visa office is messed up. It is known to be slow and they do a lot of mistakes. Probably the PPR was sent to me by mistake before the background check was complete. I think that this cannot happen in other visa offices.
Even my country doesnt allow dual citizenship. but whenever you acquire new citizenship, it says that if fraudulent methods were used, the new citizenship will get revoked. if you have given up your original citizenship, you would need to apply to restore it else you can be stateless.iAgree said:what if my country does not allow that ? i do not think Canada will revoke citizenship unless you posses a dual citizenship
