Hello
Last weak on Tuesday, My husband, and Egyptian citizen, applied for a TRV in hopes to come with me to Canada to visit my family then safely return back to Egypt. I am a Canadian Citizen, I have been so all my life, was born in Canada.
When we went to the Embassy to apply, I was told to go in to represent my husband. I handed them a completed application, stating funds would be $7000.00 for 6 month. The funds would be paid for, by his father and by my husband. We stated a specific time of leaving, and we had bought insurance to prove we will be covered while in Canada. Though the Insurance was dated on a different day of leaving, we had it and could adjust it.
We handed in an invitation letter that stated his mother in law, my mother, would pay for his food and give him a place to stay while in Canada. She would take care of everything for him.
We also gave two work letters to prove he would come back. We gave one work letter for my husband, saying his work will give him a leave of absence when the Canadian Embassy grants him the visa, for 6 months, then following his return he would have his job back. The same with me as well. I am an English Teacher and I had my boss write a letter to the Embassy stating the same thing to show we would both return.
We gave both statements for the bank. His fathers statement and his.
We were told when I had called that our application was on its way to be sent back to my husband.
The letter stated:
"In accordance with Section A11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA),any person wishing to become a temporary resident of Canada must satisfy an officer that he or she is not inadmissible to Canada and that the applicant will respect their conditions of admission and will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for his or her stay.
This application is closed. Please note that any new information you wish to provide must be submitted with a new application and processing fee. Should you wish to reapply, I would suggest that you do so only if your situation has changed substantively or you have significant new information to submit."
It says "You have not satisfied my that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:
Your travel history
Other reasons: No evidence of marriage or relationship
What does this mean? Did we do something wrong? Did we have too much money? Should we just reapply with everythign and just add a marriage certificate that's it?
I'm a Canadian Citizen... he is my husband and we have been married for almost a year.
He has proof of coming back, written proof from work, and also his family is in poor health.
What is wrong?
Should we just apply for immigration then?
What did we do wrong?
Does this mean we have to change everything? If we apply again and get refused... if that bad? would we get refused a second time if we had new information?
And what new information do we need?
Please if you can help me to understand, the Embassy doesn't quit help with this. I have to email and they never respond.
If you could help me by letting me know what should happen?.. why we are refused? that would be great.
Lot's of thanks
Spritz
Not to mention when we got all of the information back we never got back his father's bank statement that we handed in, the invitation letter that we handed in, the copy of insurance that we gave and his letter from work.
Can any one give me some information as to why we never received these back/?
