Hi everybody!

As the title says, our package has apparently been rejected at the border. I said apparently because we are not even sure, nobody can give us information.

We sent it on the 2nd of November, since the 6th it is at Canada border for "customes clearances", we called our carrier and they kept saying it would go through and that it was perfectly normal.

I just called and they told me they have no idea and I should call Canada myself because something is wrong, so my husband called and they said it might have been rejected for some reasons.

I called our courrier again to ask to get the package back asap, they can do it but it can take up to a month just to locate it.

Should we send a new one? or wait a month? I am afraid to ask the courier to get it back nn case it would go through eventually.

Did that happen to anyone? Or anyone is in the same situation?

It makes no sense for the package to be rejected by customs. It's just a package of papers.

Who did you speak to in Canada? Who did you call?

That s what I thought too, this is also why I kept calling because papers don't need customes clearances for 7 days.

we called General inquiries for CBSA

That makes absolutely no sense to me. I've never heard of an application package being rejected by customs. Makes me think your courier company somehow messed up.

Did you by any chance include any original passports in the package?

no no passeport. Just few originals letter from family friends and things like that. First I thought it was late because of the strike but now we lost 2 weeks, plus a month to get it back, plus send it again, we won't be in before 2019

It makes absolutely no sense for the package to be rejected by customs. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before here.

Is your courier company 100% sure it was rejected by customs? Or are they just giving you that answer because they don't know where your package is? When you called CBSA, were they able to comment on your specific package or did you just get a generic answer that it may have been refused? (I suspect the latter.)

Again, extremely unusual. If it was rejected by customs it makes me wonder how your courier company labeled the package.
