Reinstate PR status instead of Family sponsorship process?

Hi Admins, Moderators and Experts!

I used to be a PR from 2006 till 2011 where i relinquished the status for personal commitments abroad. my wife and kids were/are living in Canada since 2009 and i wonder if there is a quicker way of reinstating my status as PR again without going through the family sponsorship process ?

your guidance will be highly appreciated ;D

Once you have renounced PR believe you have to start from the begining again, you cannot reinstate

No your PR status is completely gone. You need to apply from scratch now under family class.
