Hi guys,

i applied for regina university but i am confused about how the reference form should be filled up. My referees are from my previous office and my current office. Do i need to print the form in a plain paper or i have to print it in the company letter head then let the referee fill it up? if i send them my email this the instruction they gave "These may be sent to GradDocs@uregina.ca by the referees only. They must be sent as an attachment on letterhead of their institution or company and must include their signature."

if i send them my mail the instruction is "If the referees will be sending the reference forms by mail, the letter must arrive in our office in a sealed envelope with the referee’s signature across the seal". Do they mean a company seal has to be placed in the envelope then a signature on top of it or they mean the envelop just need to be sealed with glue and then signature on top of the seal.

Please help me clear this confusion thanks.

Hello

Applying to Regina needs you to send References in sealed envelopes only. The references sent by referees through email are only meant to speed up the process of admission review. You should do this only if you are applying to Jan'17 intake, for which you have very less time left. Even if your referees send these letters by email, you'll still need to send hard copies of letters in sealed envelopes to the university.
So my suggestion is, get the reference letters in sealed envelopes signed across the seal by your referees and then post it to the University address. And if you are running out of time, ask your referees to send a digital scanned copy of each of these letters to the email address - GradDocs@uregina.ca

You have to print the referee form on plain paper. And if you are also including an extra letter where your qualities are talked about in detail, then add this on a departmental letterhead.

Offline reference - form+letter should be put in an envelope, glue the flap and then sign across the flap. That's what referees should do and hand you those sealed envelopes. You'll then post these sealed envelopes to the univ address.

And are you including only professional references? If so, it is a bad idea. Try to send at least one academic reference.

Thank you so much for your reply and this did clear my confusion a lot. I am applying for Fall 2017, i have been working for 7 years now and i have no contact with my previous university now :( but i will try to manage some how to get reference from academic.

Oh! For fall '17 you have a lot of time. So take printed references itself. No need to send by email.

And yes! Do go to your university/college where you studied and talk to your previous professors who were there. If not, try and find them. Academic references are very important to get admission. Try and you will find someone.

print on letter head, scan and send it to REFEREE and ask dem to forward it to regina's given email.. after that send that reference forms in sealed envlpe to regina. 100% genuine info. all d best bro.

Print the reference form in the letterhead and then let the referee to fill it up and then send it to UoR? But sparta909 said i have to print it in plain paper and if i need to add anything extra then it need to be in the company letter head. I am confused again :(

@sparta909: do i have less change of getting accepted if referee do not give extra letter where my qualities are talked about?

There is one form where the candidate is rated by the referee.
You can also include an extra supporting letter (THIS SHOULD BE ON DEPT LETTERHEAD). This is a plus but not mandatory. Do include this if you want to increase your chances of admission.

I have an question on one of the column in recommendation letter - professional experience (professional faculties only), is that only can be tick by my academic adviser or all the referee can tick this column??
