Hey everyone,

I need to know answers to a few questions:

How many hours does IRCC or the Canadian government consider for international students in a year for part-time students?

I have to apply for my work permit after completing my studies and I am waiting for my completion letter for that, however, I worked 40 hours before my semester break and now after completing school, I have worked 2 weeks 40 hours. I will get my completion letter in February. I am not a student now who will put pressure on her studies I have already completed that.

I am worried now because everyone is telling me that IRCC will object and that I might have difficulty getting a work permit.

please help me find a solution.

Yes, unauthorized work can sometimes impact the approval of a PGWP. There's not much you can do now but apply and hope they approve. Don't accumulate any more unauthorized work hours. It's important to follow the rules and not violate the terms of your study permit.

Note that part time students are not eligible to work unless only part time in their final semester of studies.
