Regarding Spouse name on Indian Passport !!!!

Hi, Recently I have received a student permit while applying, I didn't attach my wife TRV or open work permit. But now I want to apply for my wifes TRV ....... Is it necessary to change my wife's maiden name while applying for her visa ??? (Even I haven't added spouse name on my passport still I got my visa) because in Family form I have mentioned my wifes updated name ......... I got a marriage certificate as a proof of marriage !!!!!!!!!!!

If possible, pls add your name on your wifes PP as soon as possible and then go fwd with what ever you are trying. It just takes a week's time.

My wife went to Canada 2 years ago on student visa and our ill informed consultant told us that I cannot travel to Canada on open work permit with her so I did not apply. I applied 6 months later and it was rejected. Till date we are living separately. It is terrible.

Pls ensure that you both go together. Good luck !

he is right,you must apply together. although its not mandatory.I have seen a girl getting spouse work permit after one year of their marriage for Australia, cannot say about Canada
