Regarding Self Employed Document

Hello Expert,

I recently got ITA under Express Entry and now I am preparing documents for PR final submission. I need help regarding work experience documents. I have been running dental clinic from last 18 years but the clinic is not registered. Please help me what kind of documents I need to provide for my dentist experience (self employed).

Running an unregistered clinic is a red flag but see the requirements for self employed PR applicant;

When the Applicant is Self-Employed

The IRCC recognizes that many people today work for their own companies or do freelance work. This won’t hold you back from immigrating through Express Entry.

Provide a letter explaining that you were self employed and a detailed description of the services you provide(d). If your services changed over time, include this information. You should include reference letters from clients to verify this information.

You should include any additional documentation such as:

- Client contracts
- Proof of payment from clients or vendors
- Business registration paperwork
- Tax filings
- Screenshots of your website or promotional materials


If the applicant is self-employed, the following should be provided: Articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience)--(Culled from CIC's website).

Check Google for samples or just design one yourself that your clients can adopt to aid you.

what should I ask my clients to write in a letter to proof my self employed work, also I have worked for many clients but cannot contact all my clients, I have around 6 years of experience as self employed (freelancer) but I cannot get letters from all employers, however I have continuous foreign transactions in my bank accounts for payments, being a freelancer I never have paid tax
