Hi Guys,
As you know that I received my Passport with a query letter from CHC new delhi to submit more documents from my current employer. And I submitted them 2 weeks ago and so far I have not heard anything from consulate. So my concern is that if my petition gets rejected then embassy will ask me to submit my passport? I hear that embassy usually puts a stamp for refusal?
if I dont submit my passport at CHC new delhi even if they ask for it then what does happen ?.
Infact thing is that I am going to US for my masters and i dont want this refusal stamp on my passport.please throw some light on it. your response would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you guys.
thanks

Ya..i think this is possible..you can withdraw ur application before VO gives his/her decision. Thats ur right..u just write to visa office that you wnt to withdraw ur file..n give some reason..bt why do u think they will reject ur visa???

The reason is that VO knows that I can not attend for fall intake 2013 now because fall intake is already over and the deadline has passed away for fall intake 2013.and the program which i applied for only runs once in a year right I mean to say I will have to wait for another one year next sep 2014 and you never know how long embassy will take to finalize my application since strike is still going on..I am not planning to pursue master in canada, even if VO does approve my petition...this is the case

there is no refusal stamp....if visa is rejected they just return ur passport as is if u had submitted it initially ..or wont ask for passport if not submitted .....they will just issue u a letter of rejection.

I'm not too sure about it. Student applicants may not get anything; but other TRV applicants get a small seal with date/application no/visa office near the end pages of passport. When my wife applied for a TRV while I was an int'l student in Canada, she got similar refusal stamp in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It states:

TRV
Dhaka
Vxxxxxxx (x represents numbers, I assume it's the application no)
Date

Thanks for your reply...I dont think so that they will share data with US embassy or other embassies. BTW how does canadian consulate know that I am going to US or any other country?

Hello, Refusal stamps is history now. There used to be refusal stamps (in black color) way back in 2004 and so... Welcome to every evolving technology, now they don't stamp it, but know it already. US embassy will be aware of it whether you mention it or not, not mentioning will only lead to misrepresentation. Even I had the same thought process until 2011 when my colleague was travelling with me to UK for a business trip and just to furhter surprise you, when we were checking in (jet airways), even airlines have security people who ask you where you going, what's the purpose ( not too often but sometimes they do) so he was asked, my colleague and this guy asked him, oh so u had visa rejected for US...we didn't ask the Jet airways guy how come he knows, but then we were just wondering for at least 15 minutes to figure out how come he knew... we thought may be there is some stamp which is not easily visible, so we tried scanning every single page of his passport like we do for currency notes to see the water marks and couldn't find anything.

Anyway bottom line is, they know about rejection.

now, the letter you received for clarification, check it, it will have a timeline that if you do not proceed further within 30 days, application will be automatically dismissed.

@ Sabby2612...I already sent all documents to CHC new delhi two weeks ago..and they already received them but my application is still in process..last year my parents and I tried to go to Australia but our visa applications were refused but this year when we went to US no one knows about rejection of australia visa..and no-one ask for it whether your visa was rejected last year for australia..

hey I didn't say they would always ask... and this guy who asked my colleague,didn't inquire about it, he just said it just like that, anyway he had no authority to actually deny him anything. Moreover, we have traveled to many locations together and this never happened. But my main point was, embassies, I think they know it. But it will be a great clarification for all at least for me to know if you could answer the following question;

when you applied for US visa, did you mention about Australia's refusal? if you didn't and it worked out, perhaps that's something good to know for the people with prior rejections.

I am bit curious to know this because a student who is now in Canada (who seems to be my friend's cousin) was refused visa for Australia (for study) and when he applied for Canada he got a call of interview from CHC and they did ask about it, but then yes he did mention in his application about the rejection.

@ Sabby2612,
First of all when you apply for US visa..US consulate does not ask you to give information/details about the rejections of visa of other countries..but you have to fill out a online form in which consulate ask you about your previous US travel history..like have you ever been to US, or Have you ever been to issued US visa..Have you even been to refused your US visa..I mean to say US embassy does not ask about other countries rejections...they dont ask you about it,even if they know about rejection of your visa of other country
on-one mentions about refusals of other countries while applying for US visa because there is not a single column while taking an appointment online which ask you to fill out these type of information...Hope it helps..
My elder sister who got his F1 visa(study permit) after have two UK`s refusals...now she is in the usa and doing job after completing her Masters from us university..

Hello all,

I'm planing for my masters in Canada but if my application get refused then I have back up plan for Australia .
My question is : my consultant told me if you get canada student visa refusal then it would be very hard to get Australian student visa .
Do u guys think it's logical or irrelevant .
