Long time lurker, first time poster here. I recently applied for Express Entry (EE) and I've an issue I'd like to be clarified. A friend of a friend - who also applied for EE and was granted Permanent Residency - had once mentioned to me that he used his dad's account statement as proof of funds.
He apparently did this by providing documents that showed that they are related, as well as a letter from his father stating that he (dad) is willing to sponsor him (son). I would like to also mention that his father dosen't have any links to Canada.
I would like to do the same with a sibling, is this still possible? I would deeply appreciate it if someone could assist me with this matter.
