regarding Police clearence certificate

hi friends,
My visa office is london.

I have applied in 2009 and submitted my indian PCC and Uk PCC aswell when i was in london and my london visa was going to expire i came back to home country india. I got my medicals in may 2010 and i have done and sent them in june 2010 after a month VO has again asked for New UK PCC as the old one was outdated (more than 6months) I provided them again with the new UK PCC in the mean time i got married in the month of aug2010, as i dont know the complication about inclusion of spouse. I thought of keep secrete from VO as my process was in final stages but I came across some of the posts,from which i learn it is illegel and may lead to cancelation of my application as well in this forum so updated my file with my spouse aplication fee,RPRF and all necessory documents. He asked for PCC of my spouse at the time of updating my file it self, unable to get PCC in time i provided the fee recipt of PCC application(sept 2010). I dont know whts going on with regonal passport office hyderabad india. they took 3 months for giving the PCC (DEC 2010).

Mean while when we are waiting for PCC of my spouse VO has sent the medicals of spouse and asked for PCC of mine and my spouse on 1st dec 2010 I got my spouse PCC but the problem is applying the PCC of mine, If i apply PCC with regonal passport office now they will take atlest 3 months( March 2011) but i dont have that much of time to send the documents last date is 31st JAN 2011.

Is there any other way like can i take a police certificate from local police station where i am living now is it valied ? or I have to take it from regonal passport office only or I have to take it from a SP office

please guide me if anybody has any type of information regarding this.

Both PCC's are acceptable, you can apply from district SP office or from your Regional Passport Office (RPO).

I took a Police certificate from local police station at my home which is issued by Inspector is it valied ?
the letter states that i am lving in the address and i dont have any criminal records on my name, is this vertificate valied?

I dont know about your state one, but from my state Gujarat we have to go SP or DSP or Commissionar office and they fix 2 photos on form with no criminal records, even in that format written reson of canada immigration , passport number and full name and address, even they will ask you purpose of the PCC and you must have to produce letter from VO indicate that requested for PCC. right now I dont have this copy otherwise I send you.

thank you himanshu for your help now i got an idea. i will also go to SP or DSP officer of my district.

whatever nearest one, First I went my nearest Taluka - Gram panchayat Police station they told me to visit at district SP office, in my District I went SP office then police party told me to go comissionar office for canada immigration PCC, SP office party at Nadiad Guj told me we only accept USA immigration file PCC application if you have letter from US consulate then submit here, when I went commissioner office, they have confussion to send me back at SP or DSP office but I asked them SP office send me here for Canada immigration PCC, the SP only accept for USA immigration PCC , police party person went next room and ask one clerk in police party and they accepted my application, I done this in 2005 when I was in India and prepared for immigration file for canada, after that we not applied becasue I moved to italy and then USA. but my cousins are got PCC from the same commissioner Nadiad Guj office now they are in canada even got citizenship too.
I am still strugling in USA on H1B and applied after long time under NOC 0213.......

sometime at desk police party is new or get transfered from another place they dont understand everything about PCC, so explained them if they have confussion.
I know that I paid Rs.300 for PCC and Rs.100/- extra for chai - pani.... that time I got it in 2weeks.
