I obtained my permanent residency through the Alberta Tech Pathway in April 2024. After becoming a permanent resident, I was laid off and found a new job opportunity in Montreal, Quebec. I am now submitting a spousal sponsorship application for permanent residency. Will my move to Quebec or my employment status affect the spousal sponsorship application, considering my PR was granted through the Alberta PNP? Also, do I need an immigration lawyer ?

As long as it was a genuine job offer it shouldn’t. How soon after getting PR did you get laid off? How long had you been working for the employer at that point? You will have to go through Quebec spousal sponsorship which will take a long time.
Yes it’s a genuine offer letter. Got my PR on April 15th and got laid off on May 17th. I was working for the same employer since 22nd June 2022. Thanks for responding really appreciate it. Also, should I attach the extra documents about why I moved out of Alberta or without it just directly apply and wait for IRCC to ask me a reason to move out of Alberta ?
Wait to see if they ask for it. Did you leave Alberta right away or did you attempt to find employment in Alberta? If so keep that documentation.
I did attempt to find a Job and I have also sent a email to AAIP but there was no response from them. But I got a response for my web form raised on Alberta immigration portal. Following is the message :-

Once you are admitted as a PR, your freedom of movement is guaranteed by the Canadian Charter. IRCC can't do anything unless there was fraud at some level. You can move anywhere in Canada and pursue job opportunities. Spousal sponsorship will have no impact due to this.
Would keep the documentation just in case. I assume the day you were laid off doesn’t include unused holiday time and that you had no warning of the lay off the month before.
