Hello forum members,

I am a Nanny who was offered an LMIA that will expire end of May 2019.
Now it happens that my employer, is planning to go to india for one year as from January 2019.
I have only 5months left to work with them, they agreed to do a new LMIA in January 2019 to get me an extended work permit as I joined work on July 1, 2017 and i will be needing 2months to complete the required 24 months in order to apply for my Permanent Residency.
I was approached by a new employer, she has had a job offer on the Job bank since November 2018.

My concern is should I stay with my immediate employer until the PR process starts or should I change employer?? What will happen to my PR application process? She has to apply for LMIA and I have to obtain a new work permit. Please Advise

The other employer needs to move forward with there LMIA so you'd be able to apply for a WP. Sounds like you may end up with a period of unemployment if one employer is going abroad and the other doesn't have an LMIA and you don't have a WP.
