Follow the instructions and checklist as they are on the day you sign and send off the application. Last I looked, the application did not call for including proof of employment listed in the employment history section.

CIC may later ask for such documentation, but it is highly unlikely including it with the application will change how things go.

In any event, CRA documents (including T4s) tend to be far more significant to CIC than letters from employers, if and when CIC asks for documentation to verify employment.

There is a lot of debate around the value of providing extra, unrequested documentation. Some suggest it is useful but offer no proof. In my opinion, there the value of extra documentation is very doubtful.

In any case, letters are not highly regarded by CIC due to the ease of forgery.
