regarding file number

Hi everybody I apply as skilled worker NOC 7251 My lawyer mail my documents on 10th of Nov. 2010 he told me that he send my documents by registered mail and cio received the mail. My lawyer lives in canada and he applyed my case from canada. I submit all my qualificaltion documents, experience,pcc and ielts text result (6 band) with it. Today I check my DD from my bank cio cannot incash it.I told him that I didnot receive any file number. He told me wait I want to know how much time it will take to get file number. Plz give me some idea how can I locate my application. When I applied my case my lawyer told me it will take approx. 10 to 12 months. Now he told me it will take more time because there are some changes in immigration rules. I am very worried about my future. Plz help me seniors.

I think your lawyer is a lier

you should withdraw your file and reapply rapidly as the new list in july may or may not include your noc

your ielts is the most crucial
try to use credit card

dear everyone after june 2010 is getting its file no. just within 2 months,even my two close friends applied in jan 2011 and they have received file no.so your lawyer is not telling you the truth
