Hi All,

I have one query, today, I got reply from CIC that my extension for the work permit is refused as my wife doesn't have NOC 0, A or B level job. I have completed my one year experience in Canada and I am about to file PR.

But my question is, what can be done now to remain in Canada? Do I need leave the country or I can stay here and apply for PR. Your help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

If you are still in status, apply to extend your visa as a visitor. If you are not in status you may be able to apply for restoration of status, depending on the time since expiry. Otherwise, you have to leave. A PR application provides no status on it's own. Look into BOWP. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/extend-permit/bridging-open-work-permit.html

Thanks for your reply.

CIC has sent me that ur status is expired on 16th August means today, than they have mentioned that if you proove that ur wife gets noc level job than u may b eligible for re-apply, and also stated that I have to apply for restoration within 90 days. What does it mean?
