hi
i m deepak bhatia from india. i got pr of canada in 2005 . my wife was the primary candidate. went to canada in may 2005 as my father got bedridden so we had to come back to india being a only son as sisters r married.
stayed there for 2 months and both of us came back.
after one year i went to canada for 10 days wife stayed back.
next year wife went to canada and took up a job there on behalf of a canadian business she was in india on there pay role paid income tax returns for 3 years but only once visited canada .
after pr expired in may 2010. before that she applied for renewal of pr in canada on behalf of job and came back to india.
after 6 months received a letter to explain ur reasons why to renew ur pr card as u dont meet 730 days staying cretaria and applied for travel document
but got refusal and got a letter that if u want to go for appeal we can do it with in 60 days which we didnt. it all happened in march 2012.
now its 2014 can we do something to get that pr active by any mean.
i applied for visa and they in return asked me to file the papers and sign that u disown ur previous pr status.
what should i do.
please advise

No - there is nothing you can do to save your old PR status. You have lost your PR status because you failed to meet the residency requirement.

If you want to apply for PR again or if you want to apply for a temporary visa to Canada, you will need to sign the paper they gave you.

I don't know what you mean by "business category". Canada's immigration programs and current requirements are listed here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

You'll have to read through them to see if you qualify to apply.
