I applied in express entry under 2173 - Software Engineer profile but after ITA, I realise that there is another NOC 2174 - Computer Programmer that is also closely related to my role.
Should I change my NOC now?
Here are some of the Responsibilities:

• Designed, implemented, deployed and maintained product-wide application stack and framework for High Frequency Trading.

• Developed UI for desktop and web applications using C++ QT Open Source Framework and HTML, Python and Javascript.

• Experience in maintaining and retrieving static and dynamic client data Relational Databases like PostgreSQL.

• Hands on experience in STL & socket programming in a multiple client and server based application for institutional trading.

• Worked closely and having an understanding of Agile methodology in SDLC. Tracked and subversioning of code using tools like Git.

I am really confused if I should change it to 2174 after receiving ITA. A lot of threads suggest you can do so and add it to your letter of explanation. While some say just go ahead with it and get your reference letter accordingly.

Can someone suggest the best possible solution? Either ways, this is just in my work history and I am applying in a different NOC for my primary occupation.
