Regarding Canada PR for Software Engineer from India

Hi,

I am a Software engineer with 8 years of experience. My educational qualification is Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication.
I have approached a consultancy here, to process for my Canada PR. They have informed me that since my educational background is electronics and as I am working in Software field, I am not eligible for PR. Is this true that since my education is different than what I work on, my application won't be accepted?

Yes they are absolutely right.Your education and you rexperience must be co-related to some extend atleast.

Actually Canada need engineers from core engineering groups like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering.
