Regarding Birth Certificate

Hi Friends,

My wife do not have birth certificate.

She has her 10th standard certificate showing DOB.But it shows her name before Marriage.Also it does not have her Father's name mentioned.

Is this certificate ok against DOB certificate for CIC?

Totally depends on them. I have seen some folks for whom this has worked. However, it would be good if you coul apply for one... But before anything, i would say you send the application with what ever you have to avoid CAP being reached.

Please search the CIC site. There is a video on how to fill your application forms. The video mentions that if you do not have birth certificate then you need to submit an Affidavit. Hope it helps.
