Regardin Visa application with self fund

Hi,
If I apply for visa with sufficient money in my own Bank account (perhaps a fixed deposit) which is given by parents for my study purpose, will I still need to show the source of fund related documents?
For tax purpose, How would you explain remittance from the Middle eastern countries?
