Hi i want to know that my work permit has already expired on july 27 2024 this year and i have applied dummy extensiok to do continue work with my exmployer.My question is this that can i apply visitor record on side and continue work with my employer till my work permit extension refuse or visitor record comes

It's too late to apply for the visitor record since your work permit has already expired. If / when the work extension is refused, you will need to apply to restore your status to a visitor record.

Sorry, I don't understand this.

At some point your work permit extension will be refused if you didn't qualify to apply for one. You will then fall out of status in Canada and will need to apply for restoration + a visitor record.

I don't understand how people can keep working though. The SIN should expire the day their WP or temporary status expires but that doesn't seem to prevent. Maybe the employers are complicit in the fraud too? IRCC needs to get it's head out of its ass and show that these actions will have repercussions. I'm sure ESDC once aware will be more interested in taking action than IRCC tho.
