Reg. Social Worker - Experience

Hi Friends............
I am planning to apply for my PR for Canada under social worker category. I have completed my masters in social work this year. I am working with many NGO and social organization from last many years.

As I am working with "Art of Living" as a Volunteer and also I have worked with Red cross society and joined them in blood donation camps and in same manner I have also worked with many eyes institutes and worked with them as a volunteer social activist in eye donation and eye checkup camps.

As this is not a full time job as you do in other professions, so I need to confirm If I will show my experience in these fields how my verifications will be done ?, as I am not sitting in their for full time and working with 2-3 organizations at one time simultaneously. Also I have registered my own NGO and started doing social activities in that now.

Do guide my guys will this experience help in getting fine VISA done or not ???.............I am quite confused.

If you look at the information held in the CIC website, it does mention that the 1 year exp should be in a salaried position so I am afraid, any voluntary position will not be considered . If you have such exp, then try to get the experience letter from your employer with the information that is asked for.

If i will ask my employeer to show salary in my Experience certificates or I can get salarys slips on his letter head.

Will that work in that case ???? do tell me. If not then whats the option for me ?

You will need to get an experience letter on the letter head...if lieu of salary slips (which I did not send as well) u will need to show an employment contract (job offer letter) which shows how much Salary the company is offering you (on a letter head...showing your signature of acceptance....make sure it is original not copy u send to CIO)....also Add a couple of reference letters from colleagues (on letter head again along with their business cards)...It should be fine...

One more thing while doing my masters of social work. I was also working with these NGOs and other organisation (as they do not need your full time to be with them). So can I show my that working times as a work experience. Will that be considered in this case as it is not full time.
