Hi,

We are legally seperated with notary and lawyers, but divorce case not yet filed. I am looking for applying work visa. Earlier I had a work visa mentioned details as married. But now if I mention divorce or legally seperated, they may asks for multiple documents and process will be delay.

Can someone help me to understand, what happens if I mention single. I felt that would be misinterpretation. But any other suggestions? Will they cross verify previous application details?

Thanks in advance.

Mentioning single is misrepresentation. Yes, they can easily cross reference and verify information in their database.

You will need to say that you are legally separated and provide the required documents.
