Hi,
My friend's wife has completed BCA degree and have work experience of 3.5 years. Can my friend show her work experience and get points without making her to take ielts exam however by doing ECA for her.

My friend's wife has completed BCA degree and have work experience of 3.5 years. Can my friend show her work experience and get points without making her to take ielts exam however by doing ECA for her.

It depends whether your friend's wife is the Primary Applicant (PA) or the Secondary Applicant (SA).

If your friend's wife is the PA, then she needs to take her IELTS exam and can also use her work experience to gain points.
In case your friends's wife is the SA, you will get points only if the work experience is Canadian work experience.

Completing the ECA will give you some points irrespective of whether she is a PA or SA.
