Hi, I was given a multiple entry visitor visa two weeks ago, this past Monday I went to Vancouver and the immigration officer took my phone away from me, got into my Facebook and they read conversations of me and my girlfriend (who is a Canadian citizen) talking about working under the table if something went wrong during my visit in Canada since I was thinking to stay 4 or 5 months, but it was not my intention and it was just a conversation, of course I understand they were doing their job and it seemed like I was going to do it but that wasn't the case, anyway they sent me back to Mexico and told me that I can actually appeal for this and that if I want to apply for one of the immigration programs this doesn't affect, so, I want to apply for the federal skilled trades program since my ex employer in Canada is strongly willing to hire me and go through the process to do so, I was wondering, how much you recommend me to appeal this refusal entry? (I heard it's complicated and expensive) Is this refusal going to prejudice my application through the Federal skilled trades program? do you know if I am still on time to apply for it or it's already closed?

I would be really grateful if you could give me some help with this.

You need to provide more information. What exactly happened? Were you issued a one year exlusion order? What paperwork were you given? What did it say?

thank you for replying, they asked me how long I wanted to stay for, I said 5 or 6 months, they suspected something was wrong, so they sent me to a place to check out my stuff, they didn't find anything so they took my phone away, got into my private information and they read a conversation I had with my girlfriend about working under the table, I wasn't planning to do it, but anyway, seems like just to see those kind of conversations can mean you being sent back to your country, then they phoned my ex employer asking her if I was coming to work and she said, "no but if he has papers I would love to hire him again" so they just thought I was going to work under the table, anyway, I was sent back to mexico, they did issued a one year exclusion order, they did also give me paperwork saying that they refused the entry to me because I was seeking a job without a work permit, the thing is, even though they told me I can appeal, I wanna know, how worth it this really is? I also wanna get to work in my application for the federal skilled trades program since they said this exclusion order has nothing to do with all the immigration programs, what should I do?
