Refugee travel document outside canada

Hi All ,

I am protected person in canada and my PR is in process . I have got a job with six months contract in UN flied mission in Africa . My question is as a protected person , am i allowed to work outside canada with my RTD and come back in six months ?

Please i need your advise if this is possible. My contract is coming within this month.
