refugee sponsorship from Europe

One of my relatives who did refugee claim in one of the European countries got rejected. I have the plan to sponsor him through refugee sponsorship program by the help of a non-profit organization. Does anyone have any feedback or same experience?What are the chances? Could you please share your experience.

Why were they rejected as a refugee in Europe? That would likely have a significant negative bearing on a claim in Canada.
