Refugee claimant got a job offer: waiting for work permit. What to do?

Hello: I am a refugee claimant and I applied for a work permit on feb 28 2017. Last week I got a job offer stating my start date on 29 mar. I talked to employer but they said since it is an urgent opening they can't extend the joining date. What can I do to process my work permit before this date? Thank you

if you applied online , most likely you will receive within a month. so around that date.

thank you for the reply. yes I did apply online. I was wondering that if there is any way I could let IRCC know about this and whether do they consider priority processing ?

If you don't have a work permit then you cannot work legally.

Absolutely not. That would be engaging in illegal work. You must have the approved work permit in hand before you can start any kind of work with your employer (even unpaid).

No I am still waiting. The timeline says 36 days which is due next week. CIC websites say they are still working on applications on 1st of Feb 17 but this information is not updated after 10th of March.

Yeah my work got approved on 8th of April. Applied on 28th of feb.
