Hello Everyone,

I am in the process of getting my reference letters from my contract employers and the clients.

Just to give you a brief summary of my work experience:

1) Employed by contract Company A to work at client Company B - 3 months - Robert from client Company B is my supervisor
2) Employed by contract Company C to work at client Company D - 6 months - Sam from client Company D is my supervisor
3) Employed by Company D permanently - 3 months and currently working - Sam from client Company D is my supervisor

Here is the process I am following as outlined below:

2 letters - one from Robert with just job duties and one from contract employer with all other details (same job duties in both letters)

2 letters - one from Sam with just job duties and one from contract employer with all other details (same job duties in both letters)

1 letter from Sam with job duties and all other details (***)

My question is that, can Sam who is my current supervisor, mention that same job duties that he included as part of the technical reference for contract Company C?

Also, is the above process advised or is there anything else I have to include as part of proving my work experience?

Thank you all in advance

Sorry, I'm still a bit dizzy. Since Sam is signing both letters 2 and 3, why not just put all of the information in the one letter and be done with it?
Hi, that's a good point.

But letter 2 and letter 3 are from different employers.

The reason why you see Sam in both of them is because

Letter 2 is from the contract company and as Sam was my supervisor at the the client site, and he is approving my job duties

Now the client site company hired me permanently for the same role with Sam as my supervisor

Letter 3 is from the permanent employer i.e., the client site company

Sorry for the confusion :) but yeah I see what you are saying. I will think about this

If the same person is signing both letters why not have it say 'was contracted to us via that other company dates/salary/hours and was subsequently hired as a full-time employee from date/salary/hours
Just a suggestion
