my partner's previous workplace is no longer in operation and his previous manager or coworkers are also nowhere to be found, is it ok to use the old employment certificate that they issued to him 7 years ago? that does not include specific job description, only the job title. he is not applying for that same position anyway and his current work experience for 5 years is the job that he is applying for in canada. Can you please advise? thanks so much

Not sure if you are in the process of applying for canadian immigration, if yes. following is the answer. FYI, CIC is not accepting FSW applications right now. It is going to reopen in May 2013.

Yes, no need for previous experience which is not even relevant, but that certainly would give you some points. So include that in the application. Make sure when applying that current work experience and job description matches the noc.
