Hi,
I hold a closed work permit for Canada and my spouse holds a visitor (dependent) visa. We had been to Canada for 9 months and had returned after that as my assignment had ended.
My wife's employer is now applying for a closed work permit for her, and I am planning to accompany her as a dependent. My questions are as follows:
1. Do I need to apply for a visitor visa as well? Is it required since my closed work permit is still valid?
2. If yes, will I be issued another visitor visa, in addition to my current work visa?
3. If no, then suppose I leave my current job before she travels. In this case I presume my work permit will be invalid. Will I still be allowed to enter Canada on my work visa (as I wouldn't be having a visitor visa)?
