Hello,

Seems there's been less and less saskatchewan provincial nominations even in 2024. I thought they got approval for more nominations. Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks

All provinces are scaling back. Alberta has even paused their AOS program. 1. There is a backlog of thousands and 2. Provinces are reviewing what their needs are for immigration. Streams may pause or change.

Have you been nominated?

I was invited to apply in 2023 but it was returned due to missing original IELT . British Council misplaced the originals and refused to issue another one. Had to snip the statement of result online. Wasn't good enough.

On this forum, people have been waiting for a year for nomination. There are staffing issues so SK probably getting caught up on the backlog. If your NOC is in demand then hopefully you will get selected. Healthcare and trades seem to be the in demand NOCs

I'm pressed for time due to age and IELTs expiry. I guess I'll just have to wait all the same. Thanks for the feedback.

They did another draw on the 8th of March, cutoff was 89, a lot of nocs were invited to apply.

Only 35 were invited! As compared to the 100s we are used to! Sometimes it was as high as 500 or 600 invitations.

If getting PR is a very high priority then do whatever you can to increase your score. Rewrite IELTS and max out your score, learn French, etc.
