I am a US citizen and am planning on coming Toronto for work under a NAFTA work visa. I accepted a job with a company that knew this, and was going to sponsor me. This job has raised several red flags (took over a month to get me the offer letter after they said they were going to make one, has done nothing toward lining up the work visa even after they said they would, etc) and to be honest, my patience has pretty much run out for them. I pretty much feel that the original employer is being unprofessional and I question their ability to get the visa at all, and my happiness in this environment. Another job offer has found me, and I would like to rescind my original job offer and accept the new one instead.
Are there typically any legal concerns with rescinding a job offer after it has been accepted?
