http://o.canada.com/2013/05/08/0509-nhs-immigrant-majority/

This is not the way to welcome new citizens of this country ....

Very bad Immigration minister i really hate his policies and drama's .....

I do not want to use bad words in this forum but i am so frustrated and sick with this beauracracy.

You are very welcome.

Yeah,it sounds very encouraging. However,I would like to mention here that still that guy has yet to receive his oath notification. So, may be it could take more than 7 months to complete. But,one thing is for sure that many applications filed after Aug/Sept. 2012 are seeing a different (and faster trend) than the older ones.Getting an "in process" status almost after 2 months ,for 2013 applicants ,will obviously cut around 6 months or so from total processing time ,if not more.Further, there are some other measures which are going to/have been introduced by CIC which hopefully will reduce processing times.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

I wonder when the new processing fee will be applied, and whether that will also make a difference...

FYI (In case if you have missed it)

Another encouraging update regarding prospective improvement in processing times in future due to the increased resources and some other measures being introduced by CIC.We are already speculating about it that due to the aforementioned factors ,things are going to expedite in future. However, now its being confirmed by CIC agent(s) as well.

Hi ISK

Just wanted to give you a small update.
I am also an applicant who send his application in early June 2011. Due to an issue I had I had to talk to the office in Winnipeg and after waiting for a while I received a phone call from them about 2 weeks ago.
On the phone the nice lady from the local office informed me that they are now processing people who applied in February 2011 and hopefully they will speed up the process soon as they are working on hiring new people as well as they are changing some of the way they are doing things -[/b] she couldn't give me to more information about that.
In total she said that June 2011 applicants shouldn't wait longer then 3-4 months for a test date but it may be very well sooner then that.

Hi,

I understand that majority of the applicants are experiencing long processing times ,however I believe still there are some routine (& relatively newer ) cases which are being processed faster ,even then they are expected. So,just trying to be positive and highlighting any encouraging info to which I come across.Below are the details of an applicant whose case was processed in 6+ months or so.

I acknowledge that some people are of the view that this newer faster processing is just limited to specific local offices.Nonetheless,I beg to disagree with them as I have seen faster processing for couple of offices and not just for one.Besides,I believe as its a new trend so it will take some time to reflect in the processing times of all offices.Further, in my view, there couldnt be so much disparity of 23 months and 6+ months between two local offices. All in all, its hard to establish any substantial conclusion as we do not have enough data now but still there seems to be a ray of hope in near future.Hopefully by the end of 2013 ,it will be clear when the Q4 2012 and 2013 applicants "might" start receiving their test/oath dates.

I guess the fastest cases are mostly related to those who never travelled during the required residence period.
