Hi everyone, I applied 2021 September parent/grandparent sponsorship program. My mom (only applicant) recently completed medical examination required by IRCC and abnormal Xray came back. She did the sputum culture test and second X ray 3 months later which showed the tumor grew. She immediately went to check out and it turned out to be lung cancer Stage I(luckyyy).

She did the surgery immediately and it was T1N0M0 lung cancer. No chemo or other treatment required. But need to follow up regularly.

I read other similar expeirence and IRCC is probably gonna ask for a recent report from Oncologist assessing malignancy, diagnosis and present clinical status. In the report they also want to include staging, treatment, prognosis, 5 year survival rate, likelihood of recurrence and details of any further treatment required..

The rest I can get no problem. However doctors/oncologists in my home country do not give 5 year survival rate and likehood of recurrence. It is kinda industry practice guess they think it's too risky to give this info

Does anyone have similar experience? Anything else I can do?

I am the only child and my mom divorced many years ago. Now both me and my spouse are Canadian citizens and I had to give up my previous citizenship. With Covid restrictions in my home country it would be super hard for me to go back.

So any help/advice is welcomed!
