I did soft landing on August 4th. I travelled alone as my wife could not travel. When asked I told the officer that I will be moving in early 2019. She asked me to fill in US address to mail PR card. She mentioned that since my current permanent address is in US, it will be mailed at US address.
1. Has anyone received card at US address ?
2. How long does it take to receive the PR card ?
3. Is there a way to track it?

Thanks

The CBSA officer was wrong. PR cards are not mailed outside of Canada. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=061&top=10

I doubt there's anything to even track. Once they see a foreign address, I don't think they would process the request further.

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, I did not have an option to prove the officer wrong :). Any recommendations on tracking the card process ? Is there a number to use while calling from US ?
You will need to immediately provide an in-Canada address or your PR card application will be rejected. There is, as has already been explained, no shipment of cards outside Canada by IRCC. (it's only happened once before I believe, under Federal Court order).

Hello lakers17,
did you call them to provide a local address? When we landed, the officer entered the US address since one of us was returning to the US. I had doubts about the address situation but didn't dare to question the officer.

pr card cannot be delivered in US period... that's base rule... and now if u have US address.. u will not get pr card until u provide Canada address and ur processing time starts when they get ur Canada address
