Receiving household items from a usa citizen

My sister would be visiting me to canada from usa with some household items and appliances.. Would it be any issue for her at the customs in usa or Canada? The items would be brand new

Doesn't matter used or new, importing goods into Canada is something that can be taxed.

If she is bringing you the items and leaving them in Canada, she will pay full duties and taxes on them.
